N97 Day Three: Screen & Text Entry, Bugs

BATTERY. 16 Hours of mild usage before Battery Low warning (N97). I forgot to mention that I've been switching around between my E71 battery which is several months old and the new battery that came with the N97. Day Two was running on the E71 battery.

SCREEN & TEXT ENTRY. The N97 comes with a 360 x 640 pixels, 3.5 inches resistive touch screen with handwriting recognition. To answer my own question from a month ago, (@flyinace2000 Would you happen to know if the N97 screen is made of glass or another material?), it's plastic. I've tried pressing relatively hard and the screen moves in, but because it's a resistive touchscreen, there's another screen below. The color does not warp like most other screens you press into. Below is a video showing the speed of screen rotation as well as typing on the QWERTY, T9, and handwriting recognition.

BUGS. 1. The AccuWeather app keeps reverting my temperature to Celsius when I previously changed it to Fahrenheit. It's a bother to change it back; it's happened twice before.
2. I have connected my mailbox to my Gmail account which I am able to connect to and receive e-mails, but cannot send e-mails from. The phone will display "Connecting to Gmail Mailbox" and will not give any time outs or credential errors. I have tried to connect first before sending, but that does not work. I have been sending e-mails through MMS. Viewing e-mails however, I prefer to do so on the Java Gmail app.

DAY THREE WRAP UP. One of the reasons I have been doing a lot of coverage on software is because there are already a lot of hands on reviews and video for hardware. I'll cover hardware by request or if there is something that hasn't been detailed elsewhere. My original choice of color was white, but I'm growing into this black color. Waiting for Nokia to ship my white pre-order, I haven't downloaded any paid apps yet because I do not plan on keeping the model I have now. I really want to test out Gravity (Twitter app) though.
