feX for Facebook (iTunes Link) is an application available on iTunes designed to help sync your Facebook friends with your iPhone contacts. You will first be asked to sign in via Facebook Connect and it'll find all of your Facebook friends and match the names to your iPhone Contacts. It'll then give you a list of matches which it will sync the contacts' photos, phone numbers, and birth dates. For friends which you have nicknames on your Contact list, you are able to select which Facebook friend belongs to that contact by clicking on the "Add Friend" button in the Matches window. Only have a friend's email but no phone number? No problem! feX will find a match and add that friend's phone number to your iPhone Contacts. Contacts will sync via any data connection, with several settings to your desire.
Since it does not automatically update your Contacts' photos when they are changed on Facebook, you may want to sync feX on your iPhone at least once a week. I was having a problem with it syncing to some contacts, including Erica's which did not show any photo for her match. This could be either a bug through feX, Facebook, or the iPhone. It is very handy if you are syncing your contacts through to cloud such as through Google Contacts because it will save in the cloud, and change on your other devices. At $1.99, it's a small price to pay for something you might have done manually and is wonderful if you have a lot of Contacts.
